WordPress 4.4.1 Pagination Bug

WordPress has recently been updated to 4.4.1, which for the most part is a good thing, offering security patched and fixes etc – however after a few of our users reported issues of certain paginated area (such as the AJAX blog area in MyFolio) which has highlighted a bug in this latest update.

Symptoms

Many themes out there use a sleek AJAX system to load more items into a page without the whole page refreshing (a great example can be seen in our WordPress Theme, Tides), if your seeing the same items being repeated over and over each time you click the load button, then there is a chance your a victim of this issue.

The first thing to check is that you have set a Front page and a Blog page under Settings > Reading, if you have this setup and your running WordPress version 4.3.1 > 4.4.1 then im afraid you are a victim of this bug.

Next Steps

We are happy to report that this is a known issue within WordPress as outlined in the development log here so we are certain a patch/bugfix update will be released in the very near future so be sure to check your WordPress dashboard regularly.

Of course, we apologise for any inconvenience in the meantime.
